It’s been awhile since I last made a foray into the world of blogging, but now I am back. Many of you may already know me, but allow me to reintroduce myself.
I’ve been a numbers guy all of my life. It all started at the young age of 5 when I would harass my father every day by asking him to play Monopoly with me and I would beat him more than I would lose! Throughout my school days I was able to compete in various math leagues and win classroom math contests with ease. When I arrived at the University of Delaware I didn’t start out as an accounting major. However when I took my first accounting elective class I fell in love immediately (it sounds corny, but it’s true!). Naturally, I immediately switched majors, completed my Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree, and started my career in the public accounting world. After grueling tax seasons at small, mid-sized, and large regional accounting firms and getting my CPA license, I finally attained my lifelong entrepreneurial goal of being an owner of a business and became one of the Managing Directors of The Quantify Group.
So who is The Quantify Group you ask? Great question! First and foremost we are a wealth growth and wealth protection firm built on the foundation of integrity. We achieve this through a combination of high quality accounting, tax and financial planning services. All of the owners of The Quantify Group are entrepreneurs at heart. Using this mindset, we work intimately with businesses and their owners to help them realize and exceed their financial goals.
Why should you care about me and The Quantify Group? Well, moving forward from this point I will be providing easy to read financial, accounting, and tax insight and analysis in layman’s terms. Why am I doing this? I feel as though accountants in general try to impress people with knowledge and do not help their clients understand what is really going on with their finances. I am going to be giving my readers real information that they can use, understand, and apply to their financial life.
With that being said I will be answering questions in a “mailbag” style format. These questions will come from our clients, relevant topics in the marketplace, and most importantly – you! Feel free to e-mail me any accounting or tax related questions you may have at any time. I am always available to chat if you need clarification on an issue or need some additional guidance. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and experiences with you!
